The mission of Island House is to encourage the well-being and advancement of the inhabitants of the Isle of Dogs, particulary those who are disadvantaged. The mission is achieved by:

1. Maintaining and equipping a centre for community use by local residents, community and voluntary organisations active on the Island

2. Providing a Christian witness and accommodation for personal and organised prayer and meditation.

3. Promoting the benefit of local people through working in partnership with others and providing advice, opportunities and services needed by people living on the Isle of Dogs.
