Island House is established as a charitable trust, with the Synod Executive Committee of Thames North Synod of the United Reformed Church as the ‘managing trustee’.  Operational management has been delegated to a committee made up of representatives of the URC, local charitable organizations & beneficiaries. The URC Thames North Trust (a charitable company) is ‘Custodian Trustee’ of Island House. The management committee has been given the responsibility to recruit and manage staff, oversee the finances and govern the use and application of the building.
